I need a lightweight, browser-based calling page that lets any visitor press “call”, spins up a WebRTC session, and lets a single agent answer from another tab or device—all without logins, passwords, or third-party auth. The whole solution must run smoothly on a Linux server. If you can demonstrate a working prototype quickly and keep the code clean and well-commented, that’s exactly what I’m after. Follow-up milestones to do call hunting, routing, etc

A no-login click-to-call page is really a signalling problem: the visitor and the agent never authenticate, so the server needs to pair them by ephemeral session ID over WebSocket and relay SDP offers/answers and ICE candidates between exactly those two peers. I'd build the signalling in Node with ws — small enough to read in one sitting, fully commented — serving a plain HTML/JS front end with no framework, so the whole thing drops onto your Linux box behind nginx with TLS (getUserMedia needs HTTPS, which trips up a lot of prototypes). Crucially I'd deploy coturn alongside it: without a TURN relay, calls silently fail for visitors behind symmetric NAT or corporate firewalls, which is the single most common reason WebRTC demos work locally then break in the wild. The agent page holds an open socket and gets a ringing state with accept/reject. The session model is deliberately built so the follow-up milestones slot in — agent registry, queueing and hunt-group routing become logic in the signalling layer, not a rewrite. Happy to stand up a working prototype first so you can test a real call before committing further. I can start immediately.

Hi, I reviewed the project and understand you need a lightweight browser-based calling page where visitors press “call” and a single agent answers from another tab or device, without logins or third-party authentication. I can build the WebRTC session with JavaScript, deploy it smoothly on your Linux server, and structure the Web Development solution cleanly for future call hunting and routing milestones. The Software Architecture will keep signaling, browser communication, and later routing features easy to extend. I’ll provide a quickly demonstrable prototype with clean, well-commented code, responsive communication, and simple management. Let’s discuss here now.

I’d start with the browser “call” button and a lightweight signaling flow so a visitor can reach one waiting agent in another tab or device without creating an account. The first delivery will be a working prototype in 2 days: caller and agent pages, WebRTC offer/answer exchange, call/answer/end states, and a Linux-ready server setup. I’ll use a small Node.js WebSocket signaling service with a simple in-memory waiting state, while keeping the frontend framework-light and the code clearly commented. The structure will leave room for the follow-up milestones around call hunting and routing, rather than coupling those rules into the initial prototype. Is the first version intended for callers and the agent to use on the same network, or should I include public-network connectivity from the start? Muhammad Saad

Hello, I can see the real challenge here isn’t just WebRTC , it’s creating a clean, frictionless calling flow that feels instant to visitors while staying stable for the agent on a Linux server. I’m confident I can build a lightweight browser-based call interface with a working prototype, clean code, and clear comments so the next milestones like call hunting and routing can be layered in without rework. I’ve built custom PHP/MySQL and JavaScript-based web tools, API-driven dashboards, and real-time browser flows, so I’ll keep the implementation practical and maintainable. I’ve shared an initial estimate based on your description, and once we go over a few technical or functional details, I’ll confirm the exact cost and delivery schedule. To align the prototype correctly, I’d like to confirm how you want signaling handled, whether the agent should answer from the same interface or a separate admin page, and if you already have a TURN/STUN setup in mind. Do you want the first prototype to include the signaling server and a basic agent dashboard, or just the calling page flow? Looking forward to your reply so we can finalize the exact plan. Best regards, Asad

Hi there, Thank you for posting the good task! Browser calling only feels right when a visitor hits Call and an agent can pick up from another tab with zero login friction. Lightweight WebRTC, clean signaling, and a Linux-friendly deploy are the whole job for this first slice. I build simple WebRTC pages with a small Node signaling layer so one open agent session can answer an inbound browser call without third-party auth. Similar work includes a no-login demo call page and a socket-based peer connect flow with clear comments for the next person to extend. Happy to share a quick prototype path early. Full contact-center suites are out of scope here. Fast hunting and routing can land in follow-up milestones once the basic call path is solid. Flaky NAT and one-way audio are the usual risks. I test across browsers early and keep the codebase small so your Linux server stays easy to run. One thing I would like to nail down before quoting is whether the agent side should ring in any open agent tab or only on one designated agent page for this first prototype. Looking forward to working with you for the long term. Sincerely, Diah

Hi, I'm Denis, a full-stack developer who has built real-time communication systems and browser-based interfaces. I understand what you need—a simple calling page where visitors initiate WebRTC sessions and agents answer from anywhere, self-hosted on Linux. The core challenge is keeping the signaling layer lightweight while ensuring reliable peer connections. You need a backend that handles WebRTC offer/answer exchange, maintains agent availability, and routes calls efficiently. The frontend is straightforward—a clean call button with media stream handling. I'd build a minimal Node.js signaling server managing peer connections and agent status. The browser page would use vanilla JavaScript with WebRTC APIs, keeping dependencies minimal for performance. WebSockets would handle real-time signaling between caller and agent, with active sessions stored in memory or Redis. An important consideration is handling connection failures gracefully. WebRTC connections can drop, so I'd build in fallback logic and clear user feedback, plus basic call state tracking so agents know when someone's waiting. The prototype phase focuses on core flow—call initiation, signaling, and answer acceptance. Once solid and working, we can layer in call hunting, routing logic, and persistence features without rearchitecting the foundation. I can start right away. Let's discuss the details. Thanks, Denis.

Hi, I understand you want a lightweight, browser-based page where a visitor can press call, spin up a WebRTC session, and a single agent can answer from another tab or device, with no logins, and a Linux server as the runtime. Demonstrating a working prototype quickly with clean, well-commented code fits your goals, and we can extend to call hunting and routing in milestones. I'd start by validating the current call flow in a small, self-contained page, then wire a minimal signaling channel (WebSocket) and a one-tap call/answer path, with basic UI feedback and small test harness for reliability. One technical risk / key challenge: Signaling reliability and NAT traversal in ad-hoc browser environments can bite you if not handled carefully. Two clarification questions What should happen if the visitor navigates away from the page during a call attempt and then returns? Who owns the signaling state and how long should call data be retained on the server for debugging/auditing? If we're aligned, I can outline the implementation phases before kickoff. Best regards, Brandon

**Free right now and can start on the WebRTC call page today** This is squarely what I do, browser based WebRTC on a Linux backend, no third party auth needed. I'll build a clean call page where a visitor hits call, the session spins up over WebRTC, and your agent picks it up from any open tab or device, no logins involved. Recent work: built a WebRTC support widget for an agency that routed visitor calls straight to whichever rep was online, and set up a Linux VPS signaling server handling concurrent sessions with TURN fallback for NAT issues. Code will be commented and structured so the call hunting and routing milestones drop in cleanly after. Want me to start with a working single agent prototype first so you can see it live before we scope the rest?

Hi, I looked at your requirements and the key is making the browser-to-agent call flow work reliably without adding login or third-party authentication overhead. I’d build a lightweight WebRTC interface with signaling, agent availability, call handling, and Linux deployment in mind, while keeping the architecture clean enough to extend into call hunting and routing later. Quick questions: Q1. Should the agent tab receive calls automatically, or should it have an explicit online/offline availability state? Q2. Do you need audio-only calls for the first prototype, or should video capability be included from the start? These help define the initial call state and media flow without overbuilding the prototype. I’ll focus on a working, clean prototype that’s ready for the next routing milestone. Jonas Dedzo

Hello, Most WebRTC failures come from signaling and NAT traversal assumptions, not the browser APIs themselves. I will deliver a lightweight browser calling page plus a small Node.js signaling server that issues ephemeral call IDs, coordinates SDP/ICE exchange over WebSocket, and falls back to a TURN server you control when needed so users call without logins, passwords, or third-party auth. The solution runs on Linux and keeps state minimal so a single agent can answer from another tab or device by subscribing to that call ID. I built production-grade integrations and mission-critical systems including a payroll API and a tax filing system where secure, auditable real-time signaling and clean server code mattered. That work required secure ephemeral credentials, careful ICE handling, and clear, commented code for ops handoff, which I will apply here. I will start by shipping a working prototype: Node.js + Express signaling endpoint, client JS pages for caller and agent, and clear comments explaining where to plug your TURN credentials and how to deploy on Linux. I will keep the code minimal so we can add call hunting and routing as follow-up milestones. - Would you prefer a self-hosted TURN (coturn) included in the prototype or instructions only? - Do you want a single shared agent queue (any agent tab can pick a call) or direct-to-agent by a fixed agent URL? Looking forward to hearing from you, Thomas Beigbeder
