VPAT vs ACR What is the difference between a VPAT and an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR)? Which deliverable would you recommend for our application and why? ### 2. Estimated Effort and Timeline Based on the information provided: * What is your estimated effort (hours)? * What is your estimated timeline? * What assumptions are you making while preparing this estimate? ### 3. Scope and Page Coverage Our application contains approximately 200 routes/pages, although many pages share the same layouts, components, and workflows. Please explain: * Would you assess all 200 pages individually? * How would you identify representative pages and reusable components? * How would you ensure sufficient coverage of shared components such as AG Grid, Handsontable, CKEditor, ng-select, forms, dialogs, tables, and other common UI patterns? ### 4. Testing Methodology Please describe your approach for: * Automated testing * Manual accessibility testing * Keyboard accessibility testing * Screen reader testing * Validation of third-party components ### 5. Experience with Complex UI Components Have you previously audited AG Grid, Handsontable, CKEditor, ng-select, or similar complex JavaScript/UI components? If yes: * Which components have you audited? * What accessibility issues do you commonly encounter with these components? * How do you typically validate them? ### 6. Previous Work Please provide examples of previous VPAT/ACR engagements, especially for Angular, React, Vue, or other modern SPA applications. ### 7. Sample Deliverables If possible, please share a redacted sample VPAT/ACR or an example of the reporting format you typically provide. We are looking for someone with proven experience auditing modern web applications and producing high-quality, compliance-ready accessibility documentation rather than relying solely on automated scanning tools.

Hello, I can help you with the Accessibility Audit and VPAT/ACR report for your Angular 15 application. I have experience in auditing modern web apps and can do both automated and manual testing (keyboard, screen reader, forms, grids, and third-party components like AG Grid, CKEditor, etc.). Answers: 1. VPAT vs ACR: VPAT is the template, and ACR is the final filled report. I recommend ACR using latest VPAT format. 2. Timeline & Effort: Around 3–5 weeks, 80–120 hours depending on access and complexity. 3. Scope: I will not test all 200 pages individually. I will test key workflows and reusable components for full coverage. 4. Methodology: Automated tools (Axe, Lighthouse) + manual testing (keyboard, screen reader, focus, forms). 5. Experience: Yes, I have worked on complex UI components like grids, editors, dropdowns, and SPA applications. Deliverables: * VPAT/ACR report * Issue list with severity * Fix recommendations * Coverage summary Let me know if you want to discuss further. Thanks Purva

Building accessible applications is not just a legal requirement, but also a commitment to inclusivity. As an experienced developer specializing in Angular, I have a deep understanding of accessibility best practices and have successfully navigated similar projects before. From typical single-page apps with shared layouts to working with third-party libraries like AG Grid and CKEditor, my experience perfectly aligns with the scope of your project. While automated scanning tools are helpful, I know they fall short when it comes to assessing all aspects of accessibility. Therefore, I place great emphasis on manual testing processes like keyboard-only navigation, screen reader testing, validate error handling and more. My familiarity with tools like Axe, Deque Attest and Lighthouse will ensure that your app complies with the most relevant accessibility standards – WCAG 2.1 AA or WCAG 2.2 AA, Section 508 or EN 301 549. Having previously produced VPATs and ACRs for major enterprises complying with version 2.5+ templates, I am well equipped to create detailed reports that communicate critical information effectively. In addition to providing you with the expected deliverables like an Executive summary, issue lists, severity classifications and remediation guidance, I will also offer a final walkthrough session or written handoff document that explains all findings and prepares you for the next steps ahead.

Hello, I have 8+ years of experience in digital accessibility, specializing in WCAG 2.2, Section 508, EN 301 549, and VPAT/Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs). I have audited enterprise web applications, eLearning platforms, PDFs, and complex web components, providing actionable remediation guidance to development teams. My assessments go beyond automated scans. I perform detailed manual testing using NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, keyboard-only navigation, and browser accessibility tools to identify issues that automation cannot detect. Each finding is mapped to the relevant WCAG Success Criterion with severity, evidence, and practical remediation recommendations. For applications with reusable layouts and shared components, I use a risk-based, component-driven approach to ensure comprehensive coverage while avoiding duplicate effort. This provides an accurate accessibility assessment and a reliable compliance report. I can deliver a professional VPAT 2.5-based Accessibility Conformance Report, executive summary, detailed findings, remediation guidance, and support your team during the remediation and validation process. I'd be happy to discuss your application and provide a refined estimate after a brief review of the application's workflows and architecture. Thank you for your consideration.
