Here is the current situation.
I am looking to run a soccer website. This site will feature soccer news from around the globe and this news will be provided by AFP and possibly one other on an RSS feed.
The site will have a main page, and then an individual sub page for each of the featured leagues. These are. England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Holland, Portugal, Romania, Greece, Russia, Ukaine and Turkey. As well as a rest of Europe page and a rest of the world page. Other pages will include a contact us page, a links page and a fixtures page which will list all the upcoming fixtues around the world.
These pages will also need to carry articles written by contributors. and space for a self updating league table relating to the league and possibly if their is space, the latest results from the league.
I plan to have space allocated for advertising on each page also.
Now, the part which I'm sure is a little different to your usual job. I have very little website knowledge, although I intend to learn html a bit. But basically, I want to site to be able to take care of itself with regards to updating (news, league tables etc) and for me to be able to add the new articles, delete old ones, add new soccer photos with the maximum of ease.
Currently, I have Nvu and [url removed, login to view]
Hopefully this site will be pretty easy as I've already made plans of how I'd like the pages to look in Paint.Net.
If you're interested in what should be a straightforward project and perhaps a little challengeing in making sure it is set out so that a newbie can maintain and update it, please get in touch so we can discuss it further.
