I would like to convert this to a C# ASP.NET solution (2012/2013) rather than the current PHP scripting: [url removed, login to view] You will have access to a paid for version of the above project to integrate with ASP.NET. Basically you just need to do a one to one conversion between the two. If you are comfortable in PHP and C# it should be more tedious than difficult.
A successful project would be one where:
1) The sitebuilder is integrated into a Visual Studio 2012/2013 ASP.Net C# solution using ASP.NET individual user authentication and entity framework for Db persistence. (Extend the built in user authentication scheme - do not roll your own) It will be pushed to Azure when complete, so please use code first migrations on the Entity Framework side.
2) All of the current sitebuilder functionality is working as it does in the PHP version. (or if you improve it as you go that is fine. It just needs to get to the same result. Please let me know if you are going to fix anything though. I might disagree with you. I know though that there are several things that will be easier in ASP.NET than it was in PHP if we do it in a .NET way).
3) A new way to publish completed websites from the builder will be added:
- Upload to an AWS S3 bucket: This would be an option when the user clicks publish in the SiteBuilder front end and it would push the resulting website to the AWS S3 bucket that the user gives information for. (Just use current FTP upload as a template for look and functionality)
Please feel free to ask questions if any of this was unclear.
