Online sports store
This client currently operates several traditional retail locations selling specialized college sports apparel in the United States. He wants to develop an online presence for his store based on the [url removed, login to view] model. Another influence would be [url removed, login to view] since the store is sports-related.
The retailer will sell several hundred items online; 10-15 items in approximately 20 categories. The client wants to have a simple and easy way to modify content himself, including addition, modification, and removal of items. The client also wants to be able to modify the home page special items, and other content.
As the account manager, I will need administrative control functions. The client will need a VERY simple, intuitive way to manage content within those product categories. This is a very important component since inventory changes regularly and is time-sensitive.
This online store must have a solid, dependable shopping cart integrated with the client’s current merchant account, which is Bank of America and Sage Payment Solutions. The online store must have real-time integration with the client’s present database, Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System, which manages inventory. Items which are out of stock must reflect that online.
Customers must be able to create accounts and modify their information and preferences online. Preferences should include email, birth day (month and day), mailing address, phone, Favorite College, etc.
The client should be able to login and see their past purchase history and modify their stored payment data.
The database should collect customer buying preferences as well. The client will need to create email and choose a category of customer to send special announcements to, such as ‘All customers’ or ‘Football customers’ or ‘basketball customers’ based on client-defined or user behavior.
The solution should include email list distribution capabilities and several autoresponders.
The website should support special offers, discounts and online coupons. It should also be able to accept offline-discount codes, such as free shipping or 10% off.
If you see a function on [url removed, login to view], my client wants it in his store.
I need a complete solution, not a partial one. I would prefer this project be hosted on my linux-based server at [url removed, login to view]
