Create a public e-commerce website

Hi, Similar to [login to view URL], but it needs to be WAY more professional and more attractive. I would also like to add a "buy now" option. I am creating a website that will be similar to ebay, except using a points system. People can either purchase points, or recieve points from someone in exchange for an item they were selling. The currency on the website will be points. For example, I sell a laptop for 2000 points. The other guy receives my laptop, and I receive 2000 of his points for which I can later use to buy other items on the website. I don\'t already have a website,so I am starting from scratch. I like simple designs, not complex. I would like the color scheme to be white. Modeling after ebay and amazon craigslist. I am not quite sure yet if i will make it only local or nationwide like ebay. Just wanted to give some more info clear up some questions. 1. Users would not get cash for their products, only points, which can be used to later purchase other items 2. I would earn money by people purchasing points. People can either do that or sell items to other people in return for points. 3. The shipping process would be different from ebay. The seller would be notified that someone has purchased their item, the company would send a box with a an already paid from shipping label. 4. I will probably incorperate an auction in the website, so if you can do that FANTASTIC. Because of this, Their are some requirements: I need this to be able to scale thousands of people quickly to get it started. I need relatively high security. I probably need it to be based on an open source software. I would need to have close integration with PayPal\'s APIs to automate point allocation. It would also need to be able to transfer points from account to account from when someone sells items to other people. Additionally, I would somehow need to obtain many accounts and many sellers quick to begin with, otherwise the whole website would not function. Do you know of any way possible I can do this? Maybe kinda like an \"soon to open\" promotion to sign up.
