I am looking for someone to do a MySpace page. The ultimate goal of the MySpace page would be to serve as a tool (audience gathering) and link to a newly designed Web page (of which you would be offered to contract for as well…Or…perhaps they can be done – one in the same). I have written a brief description of the project(s)…while I am sure they (the descriptions) are not completely definitive.
I would most certainly appreciate your thoughts, comments, or any suggestions you my offer. Further, I would welcome your consideration in doing the work. That would of course be contingent upon arriving at a mutual agreement - defining the aesthetics and the value.
Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Create a presence on the My Space site for the ultimate purpose of linking (traffic) to a web page ([url removed, login to view]). The web page will (or can) be another project and it should begin immediately after the completion of the MySpace (tweaks/redesign) Project. The visual look (motif) of the two sites will be extremely similar (certain undeniable elements). For the Web Page - some of the content (images) will be the same (so as to tie the sites) but certainly new and additional content will be provided – but the same feel should prevail…! If it would be easier to do both projects at the same I would consider that - if the budget permits.
The MySpace Page is up and functioning now. However, at this point it is “primitive”. I have left the page up for you to see the only images I would be interested in using on the MySpace page. The sizes of the images are yet to be determined and the reason being is - that would be determined by the design of the page itself. All of the images aren’t destined for use, but they are available to see which ones lend themselves to the (MySpace) project. The background (what little there is of it shown) - I have rights to use (and in many different resolutions 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 2560x1600). This background should cover the complete screen (of course) and all things (images & graphics) would lay upon it. Perhaps a better looking player would be required as the page becomes more sophisticated in its simplicity… The Simplicity of the page should captivate, but at the same time, it should serve to drive the audience to the WEB page…! (linkage, linkage, linkage, …did I mention linkage…!)
Many MySpace items (navigational type) should be eliminated …such as:
(1) The typical “box” containing [Message, Chat, Group, Forward, Favs, Block, Rate Me, and Add Me] …should be reduced to simply…”Add Me”. Communicating in any fashion, with Fever Tree should be directed and linked to the WEB PAGE. (I feel like MySpace is too vulnerable to “dark elements” - unless someone can present a viable argument).
(2) Eliminate the “Comments” section
(3) Eliminate the “Blog” section
(4) Eliminate the “View My: Pics/Videos”
The design and execution should bear these distinctive concepts:
(1) Less is More
(2) Quality over Quantity
(3) Art and Style over Informational/Visual Overload
(4) Simplicity is Everything…!
Aside from the background needing to cover the entire page - it (the background) should be treated similarly as one would treat a foreground. That being - the “tree image” should have visual importance.
Other necessary and important tweaks are:
(1) Changing Font Styles and their various font sizes
(2) Font colors (black & white and the shades there of…)
(3) Physical rearrangement and resizing of images and information (Sheet Music, Poem,
Audio Player, etc.) so as to maximize the initial (the first thing you see) impact of the page
(4) If possible, replace or “minimize” as much of the “MySpace Banners and Boxes, etc.” to simplify the look of the page. Do this in an effort to un-complicate the initial Look.
(Note: I am not sure of the MySpace guidelines that govern how much of their “Busy Work” can be eliminated or workarounds be put into place so as to circumvent the issues.)
The Music and the Voice are mine.
After the tweaks (as discussed above) to the MySpace site, I would then like to move on to the creation of a New Web Page. The web page will be simple yet stylish, well-designed, and elegant. The theme will correlate to the MySpace page and vice versa. The Web page would have more (some of the same and some new and different) images.
