We want a hosted LDAP server on CentOS. We want to use this for our customers. They have to be able to build their own corporate directory where they enter contacs. ( The contacs will be used for VOIP phones who retrieve the contacs from this server so an entire company can have a single point where the contacts are stored ) A contact: - Company - First name - Last name - Internal Phone number - External Phone number We want the following setup : -> Organization A \_ Contact A \_ Contact B \_ Etcetera -> Organization B \_ Contact A \_ Contact B \_ Etcetera We should be able to add / edit / delete the organizations. Our customers should be able to manage their contacs, so they can add / edit / delete their own contacts. We would like to be able to manage this LDAP server through a GUI , perhaps webmin. We also want advice on what we should give to our customers to manage their contacts ( perhaps an open source desktop LDAP browser ) Ofcourse customers should only be able to connect if they use the correct username + password. We also want the advice on how we can manage this LDAP server and the organizations and contacs because we do not have much experience with LDAP. So examples on how to add / edit / delete organizations and contacts both through webmin and a desktop LDAP browser ). We can provide the server where you can setup this ldap server.
