I have a user that is constantly asking for redirects to be setup on the server.
we have to go in and make a folder and then in iis we have to setup the redirect to the new page. ideally we can make some module that is easy to use so i dont have to RDC to the server all the time to manage this process. I prefer to build a web page in .net to help here. this .net page would integrate with iis to do this automatically
here is what i want
installer on the server win 2003 to setup the redirect plugin
web files that are password protected via webconfig users that can login to the system
add/edit/delete paths and redirects
specifcy the type of redirect in the header response..example 301 302 etc..
I should be able to give you some very basic html for the ui of the login page and the system.
Ideally on the page we can do some repeater to show the items that are currently redirects and then allow editing of these inline or in a modal window. then click to add will add a new row and allow management of it as well
Please let me know your thoughts here and how the install would be.
