I need a tester to test/evaluate an application/network monitoring app on Windows and Linux platform (optional) in a real corporate environment. The monitoring app is a daemon that will run through a checklist of IP address using PING and/or HTTP GET, and/or Telnet. More details attached.
Payment will be made per bug found as per follows:-
1). Unique bug that results in program exception or stop working - $[url removed, login to view] / bug found.
2). Functional bug (vary from intended design) or suggestions to improve design - $[url removed, login to view] / bug or suggestion
3). Suggestion to improve design - $[url removed, login to view] / suggestion selected for implementation.
4). Bonus - 30% bonus will be awarded for more than 10 bugs/suggestions.
You will need to detail, screen capture (if applicable) the steps required to replicate the bug in a Word doc and also record the logs and configuration, and retest to ensure the bugs are fixed.
Only bugs that can be replicated will be considered valid.
I reserve the right to determine if a bug is valid (it must not be part of the intended function for it to be a bug). Suggestions will be only paid only if selected for implementation.
Duplicated bugs that are discovered on Linux and which are replicated by also by tests on Windows (and vice versa) will be paid at half rate.
