Optionally can be developed in a low cost user friendly environment for mySQL. The idea is that I may develop it further and am not a programmer, so I will need an easy to use environment in which I can do further development.
Project: Access Parts Tool database
I need a simple program for managing information about our Parts/Tools/Clients/Competitors/Prices so I can sort through to find opportunities for more business. It would be something like…
Part/FRUNumber - Foundation of all
Built on that most everything needs to be multi-selectable (can link multiple [one-to-many] items to the Part/FRUNumber and to each-other).
Part/FRUDescription – text only linked once
Part/FRUPriceNotes – text only linked once
PartRepairCapability (Proficient, Capable, LowCapability, PotentialCapable, Unknown, BadTarget)
PartStockStatus(repaired, rebuilt, repairable, unrepairable)
ToolDescription – text only linked once
ToolPriceNotes – text only linked once
ClientCompany(state, zip, phone, cell, pager, web address, email)
ClientPersonal(state, zip, phone, cell, pager, web address, email)
ClientStatus (active, target, deadend)
OEM(state, zip, phone, cell, pager, web address, email)
OEMStatus(multi-select, client, vendor, none)
This tool is to evaluate my targets (clients, tools, parts). So, I need to be able to multiple link many of these items and then sort them.
Ex. What tools does company1 have? What Parts are in those tools that we have Proficiency to repair?
What tools have which parts that we have proficiency to repair?
What parts are do many of my clients have that I have Potential Capability to repair?
What is the price/value of our gaining proficiency on repairing that part (volume x repair price)?
I prefer a columnar style user interface with capability to click on the column to sort (I would actually need to be able to sort by several columns.)
