We have a software which converts PDF files to another format. We need to add "Convert..." item to a context menu (displayed on right click on a PDF file in Windows Explorer / Desktop), which would execute our software.
We have an NSI installer, something like:
WriteRegStr HKCR ".pdf\shell\edit1" "" "Convert..."
WriteRegStr HKCR ".pdf\shell\edit1\command" "" '"$INSTDIR\${EXE_NAME}" "%1"'
WriteRegStr HKCR "[login to view URL]\shell\edit1" "" "Konverze..."
WriteRegStr HKCR "[login to view URL]\shell\edit1\command" "" '"$INSTDIR\${EXE
WriteRegStr HKCR "AcroExch.Document.7\shell\edit1" "" "Convert..."
WriteRegStr HKCR "AcroExch.Document.7\shell\edit1\command" "" '"$INSTDIR\${EXE_NAME}" "%1"'
used to work on older Windows / older versions of Adobe Reader. With version 10 of Adobe Reader it works, with version 11 it does not.
