Wordpress - The Amazing Society - [login to view URL]

General prerequisites

In this section I will discuss two things. Website framework functionality and WordPress

implementation requirements.

Website framework functionality

1. The logotype will change later, but for now it needs to “own” all the space below the

words Paratum Redovisning down to the grey line. But only as wide as the words are

now. The logotype should be linked to the start page.

2. The mail menu consists of several parts. It should be aligned right but able to expand to

the left if more items are created. It can expand as far as the logotypeʼs right border.

The menu is structured in three sections (read from the left); The home button is hard

coded and leads to the start page. Next comes a list of the pages created in WordPress.

They can be any number, and it is here the menu can expand. In this initial

implementation we start with three pages, “Om oss”, “Tjänster” and “Kontakt”. Referred

to on the site map as “About us”, “Services” and “Contact”. The menu buttons turn

orange on hover, and the upward arrow indicate active page.

3. The right column in the framework has three boxes, the first one contains contact

information. The information can be hard coded into the template. The links next to

“Hitta hit” are external links that open in a new window. None of the information in the

box in the design template is correct. We will supply you with correct information and

link destinations.

4. Below is a box with links to social media. We will supply you with these links.

5. Last in the right column is the tag cloud plugin mentioned in the site map. The plugin

can be found here: [url removed, login to view]

WordPress implementation requirements

There are six major point to the implementation that Iʼm discussing below.

1. The main menu. As mentioned above it should be a list of pages, but rather three

hardcoded links and a list of the pages in the WordPress system, (actual pages, not

blog posts). For more instructions see the comment on the main menu above.

Important! In the attached design files the file “[url removed, login to view]” is the one with the correct

2. The blog categories should be: “Nyheter”, “Case” and “Bloggen”.

3. The page “Hem” referred to as “Start Page” in the site map includes a list of blog posts

that are categorized as “Nyheter” only. The lists starts with two blog posts next to each

other and then the rest below in a falling list.

4. The page “Referenser” referred to as “Clients” in the site map includes a list of blog

posts that are categorized as “Case” only.

5. In the blog lists the link “Dela med” pops up the Share This box if possible. If not, delete

that link and the vertical line separating it from the link “Läs mer” The link “Läs mer”

leads to the individual blog post. So does the image and heading if clicked.

6. The plugins used in this implementation should be:

a. Google Analytics, (account information will be supplied by us)

b. All in one SEO

c. Tag cloud plugin found here: [url removed, login to view]

d. Share this, (if possible with instructions in point five above - If not donʼt use it)

e. Contact form 7, (used on the contact page)

f. Google XML Site map to generate an XML site map

Web site page types

This section will cover the different page types of the web site and serve as a complement

to the design files attached.

[url removed, login to view]

This page is a little bit different from all the others where there is a big text block just below

the main menu. The text here is hard coded. The main content area of this page contains

a blog list with blog posts categorized as “Nyheter” only. The lists top two items are

presented horizontally next to each other and the rest of the list follows below. In each list

item the image, blog headline and link “Läs mer” is linked to that blog post page. Each

page of the lists shows five items and below that are two links as normal in WordPress

blogs to older and newer items.

Normal page ([url removed, login to view])

This page shows a typical page. There are two pages like this in the original

implementation and if a new page is created in WordPress it should use this template.

Where the [url removed, login to view] has a text block this page has an image that is tied to a

particular page. This might have to be an additional property. Below this we have the

heading and then the body text field where HTML can be included from the editor.

[url removed, login to view]

This page type is very similar to the normal page except it is using the Contact Form 7

plugin to render a contact form as displayed in the attached design file. No fields are

mandatory in the form. When the form is sent the text “Tack för ditt mail.<br />Vi

återkommer till dig så snart vi kan.<br />Mvh<br />Paratum” is displayed in itʼs stead.

[url removed, login to view]

This page show a list of blog posts categorized as “Case” only. It is using an image in the

top section instead of text as on the Frontpage.png. Just above the list, below the page

heading is a text block with content from the Bodytext property. Each page of the lists

shows five items and below that are two links as normal in WordPress blogs to older and

newer items.

[url removed, login to view]

This page looks and works just like the page [url removed, login to view], except that the list include

blog posts with all categories except blog posts categorized as “Case”. Also the right

column contains an additional box showing the blog post archive. Each year is on a

separate row with the months listed comma separated after each other.

[url removed, login to view]

This page shows an individual blog post and the page looks and works just like the page

[url removed, login to view]” with two exceptions. Just below the heading are the date of the blog post

and the tags of the blog post. Also the right column contains the archive box mentioned

above under Blog.png.

Code and standards

The HTML and CSS code must be W3C validating, with a tableless design and up to

WordPress theme standards. Title tags should be formatted like this:

Page_Name | Web_site_name.

I want us to use “pretty URLs” formatted as: [url removed, login to view]

All Javascript and CSS code should be stored in separate files and the Google Analytics

tracker code should appear just above the </body> tag.
