we are manually selecting certain items within our system and exporting the item information to a eBay turbolister file structure - the users then open turbolister - import the file, check each item and then upload to eBay via turbolister - following any sale on eBay we then rely on E-bay's automated e-mails to notify customers they have won an auction. EBay does not allow us to include a link to a checkout page on our site.
CURRENT PROCEDURES SCREENSHOTS
(1) the admin user opens the eBay module ([url removed, login to view]) - selects various options and moves onto the second phase of creating a turbolister file ([url removed, login to view]) - the user then opens turbolister and imports the created file and uploads to eBay - following the closures of the lot on eBay the admin user manually checks eBay emails and then sends an email to the eBay winner advising the user not to complete the eBay checkout and to complete the checkout on our site see screenshot checkout ([url removed, login to view])
We need a program that will allow us to optionally when create lots (see [url removed, login to view] OR [url removed, login to view] ) within our system to create lots on eBay and when the lots close on eBay update our internal records i.e keep track of our auctions via updating our system, when they end, and if there is a winner, to e-mail them a link to a payment page. - The payment page naturally need to have the correct information for the buyer to enter their details in summary - we need to automate the process where the lots created in our system can be automatically created on eBay and when the eBay lot closes the details are updated in our system which will trigger a email to be sent to the winner with a link to our checkout
A) use EBay API. [url removed, login to view] for API and manuals
B) When a eBay shopper wins one of our auction, they should receive an e-mail from us right away after the auctions end with instructions to complete our checkout (link on our site)
C) This program update our records which will then allow the system to send a follow-up email to customers.
Coldfusion MX 6.1 / 7.2
Coldfusion eBay API examples are available from eBay
we are aware of some reported issues using the http within CFMX 6.1 so the tag cfx_http has been installed - we now believe the the CFhttp tag has been fixed in MX 7.02 as all Coldfusion samples within eBay require Coldfusion MX 7 onwards sould the developer develop in MX6.1 more info on cfx_http ([url removed, login to view])
we prefer the use of Fusebox 3
we have in-house Coldfusion programmers - however none have experience with eBay API - we believe this is better served to have someone with eBay experience build the module and our in-house programmer complete the integration into our site - as such the interface will need to be clearly documented - once built (depending on the level of experience and code quality) we may ask for the developer to integrate some parts into our code
Please contact for further clarifcation on any points - we are happy to answer questions prior to bidding
- Bidders without eBay API experienced will be considered however demonstrated experience with eBay's API will help us make a decision - if you have experience with eBay API, Please submit portfolio of similar projects along with your bid
- Bidders will be required to join eBay as a developer and create and test the proposed module using their developer keys - once completed we will need to test using a active eBay Australian account before final payments are made
- 2nd release will include the addition of Pay Pal IPN module - please comment if you can cover the eBay API and pay pal IPN
