Can you help me with this? Im looking for someone who can read and write to the attached ‘XML config file’ from a mini flash application.
A rough diagram of what I’m looking for is also attached. The solution doesnt need to be done the way I suggest - just done the best way!
The ‘XML config file’ is a configuration file for our c# application. The ‘XML config file’ hold 'Config Setting'.
Sometimes we need to ask clients to access this file and make changes so I would like an easy to use separate flash app for this.
I don’t want the ‘XML config file’ to change its current structure incase it interferes with the running of our application.
The 'Config settings' need to be grouped together from within the mini flash application for easy browsing. At the moment, in the ‘XML config file’ they are in no order.
You may need to create a separate configuration file for the flash application to record which group the settings are associated with.
In the flash interface there will be a different GROUP for each 'Config Setting'
Examples are: Customer Setting, Advanced Settings, Display Settings, Admin Settings.
There should never be no more than 14 GROUPS
When the user clicks into a GROUP button, the setting for the group are read from the ‘XML Config File’ and shown.
---Alias names and yes/no fields---
I also want to display user friendly names for the setting - in the ‘XML config file’ the names are not user friendly so I need a way to alias them (from in the flash application).
Some 'Config Setting' fields are yes/no only responses and only yes or no options must be available.
We do updates to our application the XML file will change and more configuration options will be available. Because of this the Flash application needs to be dynamic and configurable i.e. Create groups, add/remove settings into groups.
There needs to be a password when first opened - this can taken from a field in the ‘XML config file’. The field is called ‘DBO2MAN’.
There also needs to be a password to access the 'Admin Setting' group , this can be static.
Needs to look simple but futuristic - animation, changing from screen to screen, fade in of boxes/text, sound etc.
Feel free to ask questions or give feedback.
I look forward to your bid.
