I have created a flash application to integrate with my website through a series of web services. This application performs all the needed functionality, however the performance is extremely slow upon loading several areas flash displays the message, "A script in this movie is causing Flash Player to run slowly.. etc". In addition to this, the interface is extremely rough and totally unpresentable to the public. Could you give my application a design makeover?
Those are the two major goals for this project:
Fix Ugly GUI *(especially datagrids and error messages)
Here are some more specific requests about the type of work needed for this project:
I need to dynamically load images and text in a couple places. Should be easy enough to do, but I didn't really code this functionality in myself yet.
Please tune the performance down to a reasonable level for at least flash player 7, but if possible I would like it to work well even on an osx flash player.
This flash application will be "open sourced" and essentially serves as a demo for other developers to make flash applications that integrate with my web services. Please make sure the code is clearly commented throughout the application and appended to the documentation in the Documentation directory.
The datagrids do not have cell renderers to display the data in a coherent manner. Work with me to make sure all the data is displayed in an orderly fashion.
Make sure errors are properly displayed to the user throughout the application. On several screens, errors are currently displayed using a label which often times crops the error message. This is lame.
If you want to stand out in the PMB show me work you have done on other Flash RIAs, or mention you can get rid of the "A script in this movie.." message even on osx flash player.
