The Dispute Resolution Service allows you to contest the return of Milestone Payments that are still on hold (those that you have not released to your freelancer yet) in the event that your project doesn’t go as planned and your freelancer is unwilling to cancel the payment.
Both you and your freelancer have the option to contest the return or release of a payment by opening a dispute.
In all circumstances, we encourage you to resolve project issues or disputes between yourselves rather than use this service. It is provided only as a last resort should you be unable to reach an agreement.
