What is Required to Complete Your Corporate KYC?

Completing the personal identity verification is a prerequisite to verifying Corporate accounts. This is then followed by submitting company registration proof.

 

Accepted Documents

The document needed will depend on your business type. This is no longer required if the owner's legal name is included in the company name.

You must upload a colored scan of one of the following documents, according to your business type:

Sole Proprietor

  • Fictitious Name Certificate or Statement
  • Certificate of Assumed Name
  • Business License
  • Registration of Trade Name

General Partnership — If none of these exist, please provide a statement signed by all parties indicating partnership

  • Partnership Agreement
  • Fictitious Name Certificate or Statement
  • Certificate of Assumed Name
  • Business License

Limited Partnership

  • Certificate of Limited Partnership
  • Limited Partnership document

Limited Liability Partnership

  • Statement of Qualification
  • Limited Partnership document

Limited Liability Company

  • Articles of Organization
  • Certificate of Organization
  • Certificate of Formation

Corporation

  • Articles of Incorporation
  • Certificate of Good Standing

Unincorporated Associations (Clubs, Civic Groups etc.) — If none of these exist, provide a copy of board meeting minutes

  • Business License
  • Organization/Association Articles or Bylaws
  • Certificate of Good Standing
  • Statement of Organization

 

Authorized Representatives

For authorized representatives verifying a Corporate account, a letter, with a letterhead naming the user as Trustee or Authorized Representative, is also required. It has to be signed by the CEO or by the company director.

 

Document guidelines

Make sure to observe the following when submitting your documents:

  • Documents such as passports and licenses should not be expired.
  • Document details must not be handwritten.
  • Documents must not be altered or edited in any way.
  • The documents should be colored image scans or colored digital photos with high-quality resolutions. Photocopies and black and white scans or photos are not acceptable.
  • Do not crop, adjust image colors, or alter the file in any way.
  • The image dimensions must be at least 500 x 300 pixels.
  • Both the front and back of an ID card must be submitted.
  • The files must be in the following formats: JPEG/JPG, PNG, GIF or PDF. They should also be less than 100MB in size.
  • If you are submitting an e-bill or an e-bank statement, the PDF copy should not be password-protected.
 

Submission of fake or altered documents will result in account closure and may lead to legal actions.
