An Architect of the Future...

I am an Architect of the Future... or so one of my lecturers told me. About to graduate from Swansea University, with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, I am highly interested in all things technology related, although I have a strong passion for Web and Future Technologies, Social Media, Cryptography and Security, and Computer Science in Education. I have 6 years experience working with web technologies and specialise in PHP with a MySQL database, although I am happy to work with the requirements of your project or any systems that are already in place. I have a vast amount of experience in modifying existing content management systems and open source software. Examples include: OpenCart, Magento, osCommerce, TrellisDesk, osTicket. Whilst I may not have any specific experience relating to *your* project, I'm able to pick-up new languages and system layouts *extremely* quickly and implement any modifications you want in a timely and professional manner. I always guarantee a high calibre of work and I am more than happy to discuss your needs and requirements throughout the project.

A local business in Cornwall, TJ Crafts, wanted to establish an online presence and move into a more technology based way of managing their stock and orders. I set-up their website (based on a heavily modified version of Open Cart) and installed a modified version of Open Bravo point-of-sale (running on an Ubuntu install) - to keep the cost down for them. I developed a link between the two systems to ensure that the stock count was always correct and that customer's weren't trying to purchase already sold products.

Every year Swansea University's Computer Science department run an "Undergraduate Challenge". The rules are simple: You must create a mobile or web application (from scratch) that utilises a minimum of 2 APIs. At the end of the year, the entry with the most number of users will be given the winning title and earn some cash - 2nd and 3rd place also get prizes. The idea is simple: You take a Twitterer, or a Tweet, enter it's information (such as "stephenfry" or "1526598596958") and then click go! The application goes away, retrieves information about all the re-tweets and the proceeds to tell you how far, how fast and how long that Tweet has travelled (or been travelling). It also gives a pretty visualisation displaying where in the world those re-tweeters are based.
