English to Japanese translation: simple words, phrases and sentences

Gohtaroh was friendly enough, but I just do not feel very confident with his English to Japanese translations. It was only a micro-project, translating some words, phrases and a few sentences. I had told him to ask me questions if he wasn't sure about any of the English, but he did not do that. Then afterwards, it appeared that some things were not the most accurate. I asked him about some of the words/phrases and then he changed some of them. I appreciate that he checked the things I highlighted and then redid them, but why not ask me in the first place if he is not sure about those? Maybe there are other words or phrases that I did not highlight that are not sitting there incorrect. Perhaps his translations are very accurate, but my confidence in the translations are not completely there, unfortunately.
