I often produce my best writing under a deadline, and while I sculpt my work intuitively, I find that the give and take of a collaboration is also a condition which tends to bring out my best.
My journey in writing is very long, and has spanned from enthusiastic hobbyist to a writer determined to make it my forever job. I've been a member of the [login to view URL] community for thirteen years, and it has provided me with the resources, the support, and the platform to grow into a skilled writer. Work I have submitted to the site has won many site-sponsored contests, and has received consistently positive reviews and feedback. I have also contributed to the nonprofit organization "Uncle Sam's Immigrant Cafe" writing a restaurant review focused on showcasing the stories and the cuisine of brave people who have immigrated to the U.S. and have started their own restaurants.
My education has been an invaluable tool in evolving my skill over the years, from writing essays, research projects, and dissertations during my undergraduate years in psychology to creating all the aforementioned with the added challenge of creating audience-friendly work designed to make sometimes dry materials entertaining and engaging to a diverse audience during my years earning my MBA.
I would be remiss if I didn't also mention that in high school, I won several district-wide essay contests, and was an editor for our killer school newspaper.
I enjoy reading, fine dining, and philosophical conversations with my children. less
