echat is a web application for online chatting. It is very useful as an official communication medium for users within an organization. It ensures smooth communication along with security and privacy. Its usefulness is based on the fact that an organization may not want its employees to be online all day in free chat services like Google Talk, Yahoo messenger or Skype, but still wants a chat service available to its employees whenever they are in the office. This also ensures that any private information of the organization does not get public through hacking.
