ICT expert - web designer - graphic designer

I am an ICT expert / web designer / graphic designer with 17 years of experience in programming, design and communication. More specifically from day to day I create: - Software architectures and user interfaces, - Web 2.0 applications (AJAX/Dojo/JavaScript), - Documents (DeskTop Publishing) (Adobe CS) - Brands, logo's and design proposals. Back in the 1990's I worked for Ericsson Telecommunications in the Netherlands. As a software solution designer I often came into contact with telecom clients (TMobile, KPN, Vodaphone) who needed user interfaces for intranet or/and handheld users. I profiled myself as the creative designer (besides the front-end programmer) and created a series of UI designs for the next 3 years for our company's clients.

90's: Ericsson and the Mobile UI frontier

UNDP Millennium Development Goals

The American Red Cross asked me to develop a database and user interface for their tsunami relief efforts and in particular the personnel in the field who needed online access to analysis, rapports and other instructional documentation.

ARC: Tsunami Recovery Program

With Secured by web (Netherlands) I created an architecture, back-end, front-end and series of interfaces that monitored clients and allowed controllers to assist in various industries. Healthcare, security, transport and tourism - all of these sectors could benefit from this integrated camera/UI/database/communications platform.

Security and Health

In 2006 I became a consultant. Faster requests for smaller projects and more flexible demands made this choice for me. I was able to do a higher volume of small-impact projects, which brought costs down and allowed a direct focus on the limited scope of design and implementation. Most of these involved updates of existing sites to Web 2.0.
