I'm an experienced illustrator, having been in the business since 1990. Much of my work has been in the book publishing area with emphasis on the educational sector. I have illustrated for projects as diverse as a pub sign to syndicated character work; including 'Rupert Bear' and 'Puppies in my Pocket'. Clients include: Macmillan, Collins, Blackie, Folens, Cambridge University Press. I work mainly on computer, using Corel Painter but am also able to produce illustrations the 'old fashioned way' on paper, in ink and watercolour. I also create wood engraved relief prints and have exhibited with the Society of Wood Engravers for the past 4 years. I enjoy decorating the small traditional wooden British surf boards known as 'bellyboards', painting on them in artists' acrylic paints and sealing the wood with linseed oil, which is much more fish-friendly than varnish.
