EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS • MBA: Perusing form Sikkim Manipal University • MCA: Sikkim Manipal University (2007) • P.G.Diploma in Computer Applications: Bhavans Institute (2004) • BCA: Saurashtra University (2003) WORK EXPERIENCE Involved with the testing for TrueSwitch, Facebook and Microsoft’s ‘Windows Live Communications’ group projects that include Windows Live Mail, Window Live Contacts and Web Instant Messenger. Responsibilities: • Understand the feature design specs and UI specs to get the overview of features planned for the release. • Write feature specific test plans or review test plans provided by Microsoft and give feedback. • Write detailed test cases based on the test plan. Keep test cases in sync with product design/behavior changes. Add test cases based on bugs filed as and when required. • Checking sites for security loopholes (XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection etc). • Perform BVT (Build Verification Testing) for the daily builds. • Perform full manual test pass execution cycles and report the bugs in Product Studio (Microsoft’s Bug tracking system). Bug reports are detailed with screen shots/videos and traces as and where applicable. • Perform extensive ad-hoc testing for finding product defects and to provide suggestions for improvement of the product. • Carry out o Regression test pass / bug regression o Compatibility testing on Firefox/Safari/IE. o Accessibility Testing • Detailed reporting of status and issues to keep communication smooth with overseas team. • Test Automation: o Automation is done using a C# framework (KAF) available from Microsoft. The framework allows the attributes of Web page elements to be defined in XML which are then available as objects based on which the test cases can be developed. o Automation code designed over watir using programming language as Ruby for Facebook. o Automation done using over VS-2008 using ArtofTest for Facebook and TrueSwitch. o Responsible for automation of the BVT and functional cases for Windows Live Contacts. o Responsible for monitoring the daily automation run results and identifying the reasons for failure (product bug or automation problem).
