Entrepreneur Empowerment Initiative ( EEI)
I am currently involved in independent consultation work on EEI (Entrepreneur Empowerment Initiative) in South Africa. During a recent survey carried out by our team, we have found out that most of the IT service providers in Africa quote / charge exorbitant prices, specially from unaware entrepreneurs / Small and Medium Business owners, depriving them of their right to enter local and international markets online, because they simply cannot afford such expensive IT solutions for their businesses. The over pricing of IT related products and services ( specially web site design/ domain registration/ web hosting and e-commerce solutions), not only hamper South Africa’s potential for economic growth, but is a gross violation of SMEs’/Entrepreneurs’ right to do business in an equally competitive environment.\\n\\n We had to do something about this unfair situation and launched the EEI program, empowering entrepreneurs, creating equally competitive markets and fair opportunities for everyon
About Me
Over the past 25 years, I have been engaged in various projects, mainly in IT sector in Africa, Disaster management and relief services in Sri Lanka, infrastructure development projects in the Middle East and on various other missions in Europe and Russia. Currently I am working as an independent consultant on three projects; for an IT services provider (Besstel) in South Africa providing hosting/domain services and ecommerce/CRM/HRM tools. secondly, for Mzansi 4 Africa , organizing a series of Expos around the African continent, promoting the concept , "One Africa-One Nation" as their 2015/2016 theme. I am also a delegate of the IFRC (International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent), certified to manage projects specially in Infrastructure development/Emergency Response/water and sanitation and training volunteers. With wide exposure in different continents on various projects, I strongly believe that my experience will be useful to anyone who hires me for their projects.
