Feb 2005 – Jun 2005 (4.5 months) SOE Hub Design - BT Global Services, UK BT Global Services has two similar projects named SOE Hub and INUIT. SOE Hub is an Enterprise Application Integration hub through which various systems are connected and exchange information. The systems include Classic, Geneva, Netcool, Objectel, Expedio and CP Bridge. Inuit is the integration platform that provides the transform and routing layer principally between the new PeopleSoft 8.8 platform and existing BT systems - Directory Enablement (DE), eOrg, Empress Payroll, Automated Attendance Management (AAM) and Accenture HR Systems (AHRS). MBT is basically involved in the maintenance and support of these applications. I worked on Inuit. The work involved was in deploying and supporting the applications on live servers and test boxes. • Involved in the WebLogic installation and latest JDK version installations. • Involved in the WebLogic Domain Creation according to MPM standards. • Deployed various versions of Inuit Rel1a, Rel1b etc on various boxes. • Involved in offshore support for Inuit such as servers starting and restarting, disk size checking, message bridges status checking, archiving log files etc. • Responsible for preparing offshore team work schedules. Aug 2004 – Dec 2004 (5 months) (Worked Onsite in UK for 3.5 months ) Beckton VAS Rel 2.0 – C2B (BT Open World Development) – BT Exact, UK Beckton VAS is a BT Open world programme which aims to make substantial changes to the way products are delivered to business SME customers. Beckton VAS focuses on Value Added Services (VAS) although the goal is to provide an integrated Customer Experience covering all BT Open world services that the SME has subscribed to. Two web service APIs on C2B (Connect to Business) were developed namely BVC2B and BVSYNC. Both are implemented by a single J2EE application architecture, known as BVC2B following a typical model of layered decomposition. BVC2B supports VOS’s (VAS Ordering System) Provisioning, Self-care and Helpdesk screens and BVSYNC allows the Sync Engine to retrieve customer details. As a Team Member, involved in the following - • Worked on the detailed design of BVC2B and BVSYNC (DLD) with the BT lead designer. • Designed logging architecture for the application individually. • Wrote the basic ant build script for running the application. • Did coding for both BVC2B and BVSYNC web services for 6 API calls in all the layers. • Wrote JUnit test cases for all the 6 operations coding done. Did JUnit testing for all 6 operations. • Did Java Documentation for all 6 JUnit test cases. As a Team Lead, involved in the following – (Worked as team lead after the project is off shored to Pune in testing phase) • Provided support to the testing team and as offshore lead, did delegation of the PRs (raised by testing team) and tasks (DCRs etc) to the team. • Prepared daily COP reports on the progress of the PRs and communicated to onsite and team. • Worked as a contact point for testing team for the queries and did monitoring of the testing.
