My experience consists of 12+ years of general office skills such as data entry, data assistance, training fellow workers, counting and handling money using a cash register and currency counter machine. I am bilingual in both english and spanish. My most recent employer was The U.S. Customs Service in Nogales, Arizona border to Mexico. I worked in The Entry Control Division for almost 9 years. My duties included but not limited to processing into our database all importations/exportation entries or invoices for the products and commodities entering our country. I paid special attention to detail the information submitted on invoices, ensuring that accurate and pertinent information was present. I ensured that rules and regulations were followed or met such as tarriffs, quotas, importer information etc. In this department, I also collected the monies for duties, fines, user fees, seized or confiscated money from brokers, violators and the general public. I performed the daily bank deposit by balancing to the penny and completing the forms pertinent to the collections made the previous day. I made preparations for the shipments of all importations or entries to our archival distribution center. Prior to that, I worked for a lamp manufacturing company for almost 3 years. My duties included extensive customer service such as taking down and processing orders for customers from all over the U.S. I acquired all pertinent information from the various companies for credit approval , followed by processing their order from the products available through the company's catalogue . l then made shipping preparations for the merchandise to be shipped. I also worked the front desk for The Dept. of Economic Security. My duties were to schedule appointments for benefits, register applications in the system, customer service and answering phones. I also worked for The U.S.Postal Service as a temp-mail carrier for almost 3 years. I left the work force to raise my 3 children, but I am ready for a new endeavor! I am a real go-getter and am ready to take on anything!
