Sobre Mim
Cheryl has been singing and composing music since she was a child. She began playing piano at 6 years old, cello at 9 and voice lessons at 12. During college, she gained professional experience by performing in theatre productions in Dallas, Tx. and singing with the FORT WORTH OPERA. Upon receiving a Masters in Vocal Performance, she moved to NYC where she performed in BROADWAY and REGIONAL THEATRE PRODUCTIONS for over 10 years. Cheryl can be heard as a soloist on the RCA/VICTOR Original Cast Recording of "CHILDREN OF EDEN" written by STEPHEN SCHWARTZ and starring STEPHANIE MILLS. She started a band during this time and performed in NYC at such notable clubs including The Bitter End, Mercury Lounge, The Bottom Line, Kenny's Castaways and La Bar Bat. She opened for the band Betty in NYC. She came in 2nd out of 500 bands in the WDRE-92.7 Rock to the Top Contest. She has recorded and performed with world renowned violinist and former Hollywood Bowl Associate Concertmaster, Robin Olson. She has worked as a singer for numerous media companies including FOX and MyNETWORK TELEVISION STATIONS, DISNEY CHANNEL, BET (BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION), TLC (THE LEARNING CHANNEL), COLUMBIA PICTURES HOME VIDEO, AUTONOMY POST PRODUCTION and FIRSTCOM MUSIC, a division of UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP. She recently recorded a series of promos with FOX for KING OF THE HILL, SEINFELD, MY NAME IS EARL and THE OFFICE as well as composing music for KFWD Classic TV in Dallas. In 2011 she performed and co-wrote the theme song for the MYNETWORK TELEVISION STATIONS in NYC, Dallas, Washington, DC and Chicago. She was honored with a 2009 REGIONAL BROADCAST EMMY nomination for her acting role in 6 Promotional Spots for Texas Rangers Baseball. Cheryl has also worked as voiceover talent for Volkswagen, Champion Seating Company, The Learning Channel and Fox. She also acted on All my Children and As The World Turns. In 2010, Cheryl was selected as a featured artist for the HEINEKEN ULTIMATE PLAYLIST. Cheryl's songs are included in the catalogs of some of the top licensing companies in the music industry.
