On Assignment to FPL Energy, Juno Beach FL
Greg Reno, Ft. Lauderdale FL
Position: Senior Applications Developer
2000-01: On a two-person team, I converted an MS Access financial reporting system to Client-Server and maintained it. The application reports on and consolidates financial statements for 326 companies (326 distinct SQL Server 7.0 databases). The data was derived from Traverse, an accounting application by Open Systems using a SQL Server 7.0 back-end. Integrating data from so many data necessitated the almost exclusive use of dynamic T-SQL code.
2001-02: Automated data migration using VB 6.0 to dynamically generate SQL Server DTS packages to convert 326 databases with security.
Wrote interface to Cayenta’s Mainsaver software that operates 24/7 to extract/insert to/from 12 accounting databases (Traverse) from/to remote (Mainsaver) data. In VB 6.0/SQL Server 7.0, wrote application to monitor and correct interface exceptions.
Modified Traverse accounting software source code to produce/modify reports. Included application to produce Cash-Basis financial statements with user-defined format using an MS Access front end and SQL 7.0 back-end.
2002-June 2003: Appointed to the SAP Implementation team. Converted legacy (Traverse) data for SAP loads. Trained in ABAP 4, Business Warehouse (BW) 3.x back-end support, BW query analysis and tuning. Charged with maintenance, development, transports, and OSS Notes for BW 3.1.
