Polyaniline/poly (ethylene terephthalate) film as a new optical sensing material

We report new polyaniline/poly(ethylene terephthalate) films as optical sensing materials. The composite films have extended surface area containing bare polyaniline clusters. The surface composition and morphology are confirmed by FTIR and SEM studies. The optoelectronic cell for registration of the film sensor responses is developed. The optical sensor responses of the films to ammonia and formic acid vapors are studied.

Poly (3-methylthiophene)–polyaniline couple for the complementary electrochromic device

Spectroelectrochemical properties of poly(3-methylthiophene) (P3MT) and polyaniline (PANI) in aprotic acetonitrile medium have been revisited to better understand their specificity in a wide range of potentials and applicability in a complementary RGB electrochromic device.

“Anion-chromic” interactions of emeraldine base with hydroxide and halide anions in polymer matrix

A behavior of polyaniline (PANI) composites with common polymers under different conditions is often a result of a synergetic combination of properties of their components. In this work we consider specificity of such a combination in terms of both hydrogen bonding of PANI with a matrix polymer poly (ethylene terephthalate)(PET) and its influence on interactions of the composite PANI–HCl/PET films or dedoped PANI/PET films with alkaline and alkali metal halide aqueous solutions.
