No Slacking
An urban clothing brand, bringing influences from music and sport fashion. No Slacking sought a distinctive letter-based logo that would appeal to a younger hip audience. Having high end elegant tall thin lettering gives a simplistic yet bold style, with a louder brash attitude than most conventional high street and alternative cult brands. Another technique employed is the use of colour and fading between white to grey. This was chosen to enhance the letterforms and the brand name itself, reinforcing attention on the branding language and delivers an extra heightened call to action in its statement of referring to the brands core principals to stop waiting and start doing. A message at the forefront of the company’s values, which is used to reignite millennials understanding that hard work does indeed pay off. Its identity has been formed to work at both the modest scale of social media profiles viewed on smartphones to much greater substance when observed on ranges of clothing.
About Me
A passionate, dedicated, experienced visual designer, I hail from the South coast of England and have worked for many exciting agencies at a range of levels. This has led me to managing a diverse mix of designers where I spearheaded operations for Universities, charities and many businesses and I work in all specialisms of design. Although I proudly accept my strongest craft is branding, it is my fascination with simplicity and beauty in mark making that allows my work to showcase these skills the most. I have used this process to create resilient while alluring logo’s, popping posters, elegant books and thousands of other print and online pieces. Learning through tirelessly perfecting my trade, I continue to practice daily. Obtaining the attributes to naturalise efficiency in meetings has given way to systems that fully absorb briefs and in-turn produce stunning client solutions fulfilling their aspirations, if not surpassing them.
