We Are Freshers
(WAF) is one of the biggest student parties around. With nearly 10,000 students hitting the town among a whole host of event choices including an array of competitors on music and entertainment events. All of whom put on Freshers’ themed nights in the numerous clubs spanning across town. Key tactics were implemented in making sure ‘We are Freshers’ is established as the only Official event. Ensuring they don’t get ripped off or miss out on making those all-important first week memories and lifetime friends. Getting to the root of what makes Generation Z tick by researching using face to face meetings and discussions, along with online feedback, resulted in an overwhelming love for all things retro. For this reason it was a beautiful expression to throw back the colours to neon club signs of the 80’s buzzing night-life. This style has comeback around like many of the past trends but it still had to be adapted to work within the polished and simplistic forms of type design today.
About Me
A passionate, dedicated, experienced visual designer, I hail from the South coast of England and have worked for many exciting agencies at a range of levels. This has led me to managing a diverse mix of designers where I spearheaded operations for Universities, charities and many businesses and I work in all specialisms of design. Although I proudly accept my strongest craft is branding, it is my fascination with simplicity and beauty in mark making that allows my work to showcase these skills the most. I have used this process to create resilient while alluring logo’s, popping posters, elegant books and thousands of other print and online pieces. Learning through tirelessly perfecting my trade, I continue to practice daily. Obtaining the attributes to naturalise efficiency in meetings has given way to systems that fully absorb briefs and in-turn produce stunning client solutions fulfilling their aspirations, if not surpassing them.
