Design of 16 bit RISC processor coreJan 2011 - May 2011 (4 months)
During my studies I had to design a 16 bit RISC processor core in VHDL, write an assembly compiler and high level assembly compiler and C compiler in C/C++ language. The result of the project: successfully built processor core with 64 KB cache, 1 MB of RAM, simple arithmetical logical unit and external memory interface for program memory. Low-level and high-level assembly functioned perfectly. Majority of C functions worked well, but there were several statements which were not implemented.

Development and investigation of an optical power meter front end
Circuit of the classical transimpedance amplifier (TIA) is revised and improved circuit is developed. Analytical solutions for the classical and improved circuits are derived. Both circuits were built and their parameters were measured. An experiment results showed that improved TIA achieves 4.5 dB greater dynamic rage than the classical TIA at +50 °C and 12 dB greater at –10 °C.
