My name is Elisabete Frade. I am a Portuguese native with over 8 years of experience with translating and proofreading a broad variety of documents for major companies ( Sport Industry, Casino’s, Pharmaceutical's, Gaming , Ministries and other State Organizations, a.o) as well as for individuals (websites, questionnaires, financial reports, accounting statements, fiscal year reports, software, pharmaceutical components, cosmetics, legal documents, a.o). My understanding of the English language is exceptional in both writing and speaking. I have a master in European studies, a bachelor in International Relations, a technical degree in Tourism and a degree in English, from the Wall Street Institute. I also have a TOEIC ( Test of English for International Communication ) diploma. Because I live abroad and therefore use English on a day to day basis, I have a perfect understanding of the spoken language, which enables me to deliver a fluent and modern text. Although there are several translators from other Portuguese speaking countries, such as Brazil or African countries, please be aware that the real Portuguese is only spoken in Portugal, and although it is easy for a Portuguese native (born in Portugal) to understand other types of Portuguese, the same does not necessary apply the other way around. The result is a poor translated document in incomprehensible and confusing Portuguese. That is what I am trying to change. Besides translations I also have a broad experience in transcribing (global lives project a.o) and proofreading. My average rate is 0,03 cents per word, but this is always negotiable in order to meet with your budget limitations. My proofreading rate is 1 euro per 100 read words and 0,02 cents per correction. I believe that is it very important to deliver a perfect, professional document, therefore you can always expect me to do extensive research about the provided subject in order for me to understand the text to the best of my abilities.
