At present I am serving as Civil Society Advisor of One UN in Pakistan. In the past I served as Unit Chief of UNDP’s Small Grants Programme and led missions to more than 25 countries Asia, Africa and European region. I have also served as a member of Social Protection Policy Review Committee of Government of Pakistan, and serves as director of numerous other NGOs. I received Top Contributors award from UNDP’s Global Poverty Reduction Network in 2007 and 2008 and an Outstanding Performance Award by UNDP Country Office in 2004 for creating a vibrant small grants programme in Pakistan. The central theme in all his work is people-centred development—organizing people to do more for themselves and their environment, enabling development agencies to engage people in decision-making, and advocating policies for pro-poor and sustainable development. I have numerous publications to me credit in the fields of social development and poverty.
