Are dinosaur scientists cowed by overly sacred theory?

Despite decades of carefully analyzing dinosaur fossils, there is still no commonly accepted explanation as to how these magnificent creatures were typically so much larger than today’s living animals.
Why? Because the most obvious answer would poke a giant (pun intended) hole into the holy sacred theory of Earth’s size hardly changing in billions of years. As anyone can easily calculate, a slightly enlarged planet with the same mass results in reduced gravity on the Earth’s surface. Lower gravity means larger creatures.
The main argument against a bigger Earth relates to where that extra planetary mass is today – how to explain its absence, assuming the Earth has shrunk quite a bit in the last 65 million years or so, judging by how much smaller animals are today compared to behemoth dinosaurs.
