Assist Senior Electrical Engineer On Altium PCBA Design (Fixed Price)

Rather than begin the work, the freelancer spent hours emailing me about how difficult the project was, how he had a child, how he had a full course load to teach at his school. I have finished PCBAs for him to study. Rather than study them, he simply acted like they didn't exist! I offered him a royalty to be kind and generous. Rather than accept the royalty, which is free money in the future, he lectured me for paragraphs about how our sales might start out slow and we needed to prove our sales would be successful. This guy wasted my time. I'm sure he'll pontificate about how what we asked for was impossible or that the job description was different than the work we were asking for. However, he's wrong. He's just another overeducated coward who thinks his way to failure. He spent a paragraph fretting about how hard it would be to build PCBAs even though I told him we had a Taiwanese supplier already in place. If he'd asked me "What can they do? How quickly can they do it?" My answer would have been "They can build anything you can dream up in 5-10 days. They've been in business for 30 years. They have 30 pick-and-place workstations. I spent more time trying to help him than he spent trying to do the work. His final bible-length email was ludicrous. He ignored all the facts of the project and confabulated something so ridiculous that he estimated it was a 6 month project. Then, he attempted to ask for 300% more money. I will never hire this person again.
