Implemented any changes to the data mart to reflect the updates to the PICK system, plus made any necessary changes needed to avoid database problems and/or crashes. Assisted the end users in database connectivity issues between the Oracle data mart and Access 97, and configured new connections with Oracle’s Net8. Developed Visual Basic programs that fetch data from an Access database and creates comma-delimited text files, documenting the user instructions for these.

Member of a team dedicated to developing a national integration system, to integrate a vendor health care package developed in Oracle RDBMS version 8 on a Unix server to various systems around the country. Created data flow charts utilizing Visio version 5. Developed the forms and reports in an MS Access 97 database used as a mapping tool to assist my team members with data mapping between a Mumps system in Maryland and the HSD Diamond system. Mapped Mumps data attributes to the equivalent fields in the Oracle tables. Analyzed and documented user specifications. Designed, developed, and maintained PL/SQL stored packages, procedures, functions, and triggers that allowed the Diamond system to interface with the Mumps system. Designed and developed a member record screen and a provider record screen in Visual Basic version 5, plus a Java application for the addition and maintenance of benefits. Documented the troubleshooting and user guides for these applications. Created reports in BusinessObjects to match reports processed on a MVS system in Corona, CA. Created SQL scripts for unit testing, utilizing Oracle’s SQL*Loader to load test data into the development database tables. Created an Employee Tracking System with Microsoft Access/VBA.
