I have worked with computers for over 25 years, most recently developing software on Windows and Windows Mobile devices using C#. Primarily this work has involved communicating with serial devices, via Bluetooth and virtual COM ports, and identifying and manipulating data in multi-threaded environments. I have experience of the complete project life cycle from specifications capture, through design and development to the delivery of finished solutions. I particularly enjoy projects that challenge me to innovate or think in new ways. My skills also include workflow analysis and design, relational database design and development, UI/component design and development for mobile applications and the processing of GPS data. Going further back I also have experience of programming in FORTRAN, Delphi and C++, as well as administration of SQLServer, Oracle and MySQL databases.
