DiscoveryCloud
DiscoveryCloud is a Java application that I created for the course "Advanced Software Engineering" at the Vienna University of Technology. It is essentially an intelligent internet radio and users create a profile by specifying certain music genres they like. The program then retrieves songs matching those genres from SoundCloud using the SoundCloud API. Users can rate each song that is played and using these rating as well as other adjustable settings, the program intelligently searches for new songs to play that the user will hopefully enjoy. If the user has a SoundCloud profile already, tracks they add to their favorites via DiscoveryCloud can be synced with their SoundCloud profile. Additional features include changing the UI language and viewing a listening history and statistics regarding tracks that have been played.
