Silhouette of Strings
Silhouette of Strings was my first 3d animation I created during my Bachelor of Fine Art degree. The four minute long short film was created in 2006 and features a small puppet like character that explores the vast dark surroundings. The Short Film explores the nature of the restrictions we face in life governed by external social forces which lull us to believe we have free choice. The film crosses the modern form of digital 3d animation with the old style of puppetry.

Hi and welcome to the JBFX Profile page, I am a highly skilled 3d generalist and Visual Effects Artist based in Wellington, New Zealand (Aotearoa). I have advanced knowledge in applications such as MAYA and 3DStudio MAX, this includes Modelling, Texturing, Rigging, Animation, FX Simulation and Rendering, I also have excellent general skills in other programs like PhotoShop, AfterEffects and MudBox. With over 4 years feature film experience I have been fortunate enough to have worked on many large scale block buster films. During this time I have worked along side some of the most talented people in the industry allowing me to enhance and refined my skills to the highest possible standard. I now wish to offer these skills I have learned over the years to everyone, my goal is to provide a quality 3D and VFX service to help accomplish the dreams and ideas many of us have. No matter how large or small the project is I will offer the best possible service with outstanding results in a professorial environment.
