Met and worked with the top US design firms, led and interpreted teleconference and in person meetings between those firms and Panasonic Japan. Ecolect Providence, United States Design & New Business Development Sept. 2008 – Feb. 2009 Worked closely under strict deadlines with fortune 500 toy and consumer product companies to develop product solutions on the cutting edge of sustainability through eco design, trend forecasting, market research and analysis, and forward thinking. Expanded Ecolect’s client database internationally in Japan through the design of an additional Ecolect brand image that more accurately suits Japanese style and culture, resulting in established connections with Japanese companies Mottainai, and Itochu. Managed all of Ecolect Design Center’s projects with Japanese companies to insure project progression and quality results. Telia Sonera Helsinki, Finland Promotional Campaign Design June 2007 – Nov. 2007 Responsible for creating graphic designs used in Telia Sonera’s new locations and for their promotional conventions under the theme “Beautiful Things Come In Small Packages”. Olympus Corporation Tokyo, Japan Prototype Development/Production (Internship) June 2006 – August 2006 Headed a design project at Olympus’s design center in Tokyo to develop a new “Visual Input Device”, and gained valuable experience and skills in the entire design process from concept to final product. Led the team to implement new ways of capturing visual data, and sharing memories and experiences through future technology. Strong design focus placed on concept development through 3D modeling, user observation, user interface, ergonomics, and emotion. Handled all Japanese/English translating and interpreting for the entire division. Intercultural Experience June 2001 – Present Extensive experience traveling, working, and living in Asia, Europe, and the United States and being culturally immersed from a young age.
