Basic Abstract Model
This is a basic abstract again using Bryce, though this time while running it in Windows through VMware in Gentoo Linux. This was rendered using POV Ray on a home Beowolf cluster(grid computing)
Sobre Mim
in general im a linux OS hacker,, with some minor hard ware hacking experience(pcb design), i spend my time expanding my computing capabilities. Currently i own and operate a 1Tflop Gentoo SSI Cluster(Photos available). It uses a Single System Image(SSI) that is netbooted into a ramfs via PXE-Boot. What an SSI based cluster means in lamens is every computer i add to the network becomes part of a single computer system with a single operating system, turning 100 computers into 1 supercomputer. The cluster is capable of performing more than 76 trillion float point operations per day, or about 2 years worth of data processing at 1Gflop in 3 months. People have asked why i built this, 2 reasons to give back, and to push my own limits. Ive compiled this system from source code ground up custom, learning more about the details of what can and cant be done with it as i go along. In doing this ive spent years learning from mentors in the opensource community, so to give back i use a service through gridrepublic, org, it gives scientists planet wide access to use my clusters processing power to speed up their research results at no cost to them.
