Working Experience August 2009 – June 2010: Sime Darby Marine Puteri Offshore Pte Ltd (SDMPO) 1600T Derrick Lay Barge, Puterisime 786 Barge Electrical Engineer Construction Period, Nantong, China (or office in Subang Jaya, Malaysia) Responsibilities: • Report directly to Chief Engineer during project management team’s (PMT) construction progress and commissioning activities on electrical and instrumentation. • Raise defect list and punch list throughout construction and commissioning period for PMT’s rectification. • Review pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures produced by PMT. • Conducted pre-commissioning, commissioning and acceptance with PMT’s commissioning team for systems such as: o Anti heeling system, cargo and ballast system o Main generators (8 x 1000kW) and emergency generator (1 x 500kW) o Main and emergency switchboards o Winches (10 x 200T drag brake) o 1600T crane, including tugger, luffing, aux. hook and main hook • Generated spare part list and planned maintenance system for DLB system. September 2006 – July 2009: Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE) Shipyard and fabrication yard Oil and Gas EPCIC 1. Discipline Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation) Project Management Team January 2009 – July 2009: FSO Abu Offshore Gas Engine Installation (PCSB/MISC) Responsibilities: • Discussed and proposed related scope of work for offshore gas engine installation including upgrading and modifying the power management system. • Attended technical meetings with vendors and clients in order to clarify and specify the required scope of work. • Prepared and submit Technical Query (TQ) and Request for Work Execution Order (RWEO) including detailed scope of work for client review and approval. • Reviewed Purchase Technical Specification (PTS) prior submission for client approval. • Prepared subcontractor request, work pack and other documents for work execution. • Work closely with other discipline (machinery, piping and structural) and QA/QC in order to minimize rework, minimize wastage and ensure quality of final result. • Prepared and submitted work done report for each project milestone. • Organized and planned work schedule, method of execution and material take off. • Prepared Permit to Work (PTW), JSA/JHA and Risk Assessment (RA) for work execution offshore. November 2008 – July 2009: Conversion of MOPU DANA 256 (GPS/MOMPL) Responsibilities: • Understood project contract (Scope of Work) in order to organize efficiently work execution and cost control. • Organized decommissioning activities and planning of work for Conversion activities. • Conducted meetings with clients, vendors and sub contractor to clarify scope of work. • Prepared work pack, purchase request, inter discipline work request and other necessary documents for work execution. March 2007 – November 2008: Conversion of MT Orchid II to FSO Orkid (TML/MISC) Responsibilities: • Organized decommissioning activities and planning of work for Repair and Life Extension (RLE) and Conversion. • Understood project contract (Scope of Work) in order to organize efficiently work execution and cost control. • Prepared subcontractor request, work pack, tender specification, purchase request and other necessary documents for work execution. • Liaised with other departments (subcontractor department, design & engineering, procurement, cost control, quality control, etc.), contractor and owner to ultimately achieve the Mechanical Completion Date (MCD) on schedule. • Coordinate and communicate with other disciplines (machinery, piping, structure, blasting and painting) in order to organize and monitor work efficiently. • Review design drawings, specifications and MTO prior to submitting drawing to contractors for construction to avoid any unnecessary reworks and cost plus. • Lead, assist, advice and coordinate supervisors, foremen and subcontractors for work execution. • Active involvement in FAT and SAT prior to system acceptance and installation for PAGA system, Fire & Gas system, Astro Entertainment system, Radio Communication equipment, ODME system, OWS system, etc. • Prepared PTW, JSA/JHA and RA for work execution. • Work covers: o Cargo Control and Monitoring system o Power Generation and Power Management system o Internal & External Communication system o Turret and meter prover interfacing o Various machinery equipments (eg: pumps, boiler, etc) 2. Assistant Commissioning Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation) Commissioning Department April 2007 – Jan 2008: FSO Abu Offshore Activities (PCSB/MISC) Responsibilities: • Involved in managing, planning and executing offshore activities such as: o Common Fuel Gas Heater – power cable and junction box replacement o Lighting and Small Power – power cable replacement o VHF/UHF Communication – additional repeater junction box installation o Fire & Gas Detection system – sensor replacement and reconfiguration o PABX and VSAT interfacing – control card replacement and reconfirguration o Radar Tank Gauging system – sensor and cable replacement. • Prepared PTW, JSA/JHA and RA for work execution. September 2006 – March 2007: Conversion of MT Armata to FSO Abu (PCSB/MISC) Responsibilities: • Organized commissioning activities and work execution. Liaised with other disciplines, contractors and owner. • Discussed and produced write up work procedures and check list for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. • Managed work execution on board such as fitting, cabling, installation and termination. • Assist vendor in troubleshooting, modification and commissioning. • Responsible on activities to carry out and documentation for Radio Communication and Navigation pre-commissioning and commissioning works which includes systems such as: o LAN, WIMAX, PABX and VSAT Communication system o VHF/UHF Communication system o MF/HF SSB and VHF Radiotelephone system o Helicopter NDB system o Fire & Gas Detection system o Satellite Television System o Public Addressor and General Alarm system Interest & Activities: Oil & gas technologies, internet, reading, outdoor activities, traveling and meeting new people. Skills: • Possess good knowledge of Microsoft Office, PC troubleshooting and configuration. • Possess initiative with strong analytical skills, precise in report writing, good communication, leadership and presentation skills. • Ability to handle multi task functions. • Resourceful team player and able to work independently if required • Willing to travel and relocate anywhere to meet the job requirement.
