I have been illustrating and painting since the age of 11. At the age of 14, I won second place in a well published contest by Chicago Art Institute's, "Draw Me." The only thing is, I didn't draw what was shown... I produced a very elaborate perspective drawing of Zelda crouched on top of a cliff, overlooking a forest, a river, and a castle in the distance. I was personally visited by one of the staff from the Institute and was told that I had taken second place for the Southern California region. I studied for 1 year and obtained 1 year of college credits in Fine Art by the age of 15. During my late teens I was well into drawing and painting street/urban art and learned my color palette from there. I met some very famous artists and continued to learn by self-taught methods. After high school, I joined the military and traveled around the U.S. quite a bit and painted at different locations when ever I got the chance. In 1999, I decided to attend The Art Institutes of California - San Diego, which I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Arts. I began a life in Graphic Design and Illustration as a working professional for companies such as Legendary Headwear, Inc., U.S. Open Golf Tournament, PGA Tournament, Oneill, Rip Curl, Grave Digger Monster Truck, Genius Entertainment, and UC San Diego to name a few. I continue to reside in Southern California and work on my craft and passion.
