Médiathèque Albertine Sarrazin - Logo and fonts
2012 A very interesting work: the client, a mediatheque, wanted a new logo, based on the author Albertine Sarrazin. I was lucky enough to work with the author's family, and got samples of her handwriting. The family showed me, too, the typewriter Albertine Sarrazin used to write her novels. Those informations allowed me to use an old faces font that was exactly the one of her typewriting, and to create a vector handwriting based on the one of the author.

Main skills : Graphic design, layout, writing, proofreading, translation (English to French) During those last years, I've had some significant and rewarding experiences, including three political campaigns for french deputee elections (tiring, very tiring, but it's a fascinating job ... following the candidate step by step, keeping an eye on the press, creating his posters and flyers, proofreading and factchecking his texts ... for the duration of the campaign, it's a 24/7 work, and a quite rich in adrenaline one), a lot of logos and style guides (mainly for restaurants and winegrowers ... it's France, after all!) and some book publishing (I have a particular taste for book layout). Compétences principales : Graphisme, mise en page, écriture, correction, traduction (de l'anglais au français). Ces dernières années, j'ai connu un certain nombre d'expériences particulièrement importantes et/ou gratifiantes. Parmi ces expériences, je citerais trois campagnes législatives (fatiguant … épuisant, même ; mais c'est un boulot passionnant : on suit le candidat au quotidien, on garde un œil sur la presse locale, on s'occupe des affiches et des professions de foi, on participe à la correction et on vérifie l'exactitude des déclarations publiques … pendant toute la durée de la campagne, il faut être sur le pied de guerre 24 heures sur 24 et 7 jours sur 7 et c'est souvent riche en adrénaline) ; je citerais également pas mal de logos, designs et chartes graphiques pour des restaurants et des producteurs de vin ; enfin, j'ai aussi eu grand plaisir à participer à des publications de livres (de mon passé dans l'édition, je conserve un goût prononcé pour la mise en page de livres).
