Skin
My concept for this project was the beauty of skin, how its subtle nuances create a stunning contrast and its ability to form an individualistic shape with a universal quality. I added gold paint to sections of skin to emphasize its natural glow, de-saturating the rest of the skin so the contrast is strikingly clear. The gold is symbolic of the natural beauty that skin possesses that seems to often be overlooked as such a normal part of life. But when you really look closely at skin, you will see its unique qualities, varying with each and every person, and beautiful in its rawness.
