WORK EXPERIENCE Worked as a Senior Business Analyst in the Business Research division of Evalueserve (Gurgaon, India) from August 2004 to November 2005. Handled important projects in a variety of industries and geographies. Some key assignments carried out in Evalueserve are: • The New Face of R&D and Innovation Prepared a report on prominent trends in global R&D and innovation. The project involved studying the changing face of corporate R&D and showcasing different drivers that have caused a shift in the corporate innovation model. This report is meant to be a tool for companies that are actively engaged in R&D. The report was 40 pages in length. • India R&D 2005 — The World's Knowledge Hub of the Future Prepared a report on the scenario of R&D in India. The report showcased India’s value proposition as an emerging R&D destination and served as a background report for an international conference titled ‘India R&D 2005’ organized by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) on November 7 and 8, 2005. The report was 32 pages in length. • Identification of Innovation Sources Led a team of 35 analysts in five different projects to identify latest innovations in surface care and consumer medical diagnostics segments globally for a leading consumer products firm. The innovations were rated based on various parameters and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to rank them according to their importance to the client. The Evalueserve Innovation Identification Framework (I2F) was also developed during the course of these projects. The team for one of the projects received the Evalueserve Best Team Award for the year 2004-2005. ACADEMIC RECORD Completed BTech and MTech in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay with a cumulative performance index of 6.93/10 ACADEMIC PROJECTS AND EXPERIENCE • Dual Degree Project: Studies in Calcium Carbonate Decomposition under Pulsating Flow Did a mathematical modeling and numerical analysis of calcium carbonate decomposition under pulsating flow. Application of pulsating flow promised improvement in time required for calcination due to the introduction of bulk flow of heat and mass in the pores of the solid undergoing decomposition. This project was an original work and a paper was presented in November 2004 at the Annual Meeting of American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) in Austin, USA. • Seminar: Electrodialytic Separation Techniques Presented a paper based on literature survey on fundamental concepts involved in Electrodialytic Separation Techniques. ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS • National Talent Search Examination scholarship in 1995 • Was placed in top 2 percent in India in Physics Olympiad in 1997 HOBBIES AND INTERESTS • Trekking: Avid trekker and have trekked extensively in the Sahyadris • Dramatics: Actively participated in dramatics events impromptu and miming at the Institute level. Was involved in organizing the Annual Production of IIT Bombay in 2002, 2003 and 2004
