Technical details: -------------------------- Using the Zend Framework, MySQL, Apache and PHP, we provided the client with an entirely web 2.0 experience. DVD Direct runs on a Debian Linux server. Site details: ------------------ - automatic store opening & closing based on time (with calendar integration) - independent time for food court vendors & mini mart - integration with IMDB for movie / actor information lookup (to local storage) - comprehensive administrative section to handle rider dispatch, inventory movement, inventory addition / tracking / out-of-stock notificaitons - comprehensive user account features to request movies, special titles, set preferences, view order history, manage credit, etc. Integration with Facebook logins was additionally done to improve ease of sign-up, with local account information tying into Facebook account
